  • Recurrent, histologically or cytologically documented NSCLC (squamous cell, adenocarcinoma, or large cell anaplastic)
  • Measurable disease with lesions ≥20 mm by conventional imaging or ≥10 mm by spiral CT
  • Progression during or after ≥1 prior chemotherapy regimen containing platinum, taxane, or vinca alkaloid
  • Tumor accessible to biopsy and willingness to undergo biopsy
Key exclusion· 11
  • Prior treatment with any HER pathway inhibitors (Herceptin, Iressa, Tarceva, C225, CI1033, TAK165)
  • Histologically documented bronchioalveolar carcinoma
  • Clinical or radiographic evidence of CNS or brain metastases
  • Ejection fraction <50% on ECHO
