- ✕Biologic agents (Enbrel, Remicade, Humira, Kineret) or Arava within 8 weeks prior to randomization
- ✕Corticosteroid dose exceeding 15 mg/day
- ✕Planned surgery or joint replacement in hands, wrists, or feet
