Key inclusion· 4
- ✓Subjects with fast and/or slow heartbeats requiring dual chamber pacing (atrial and ventricular).
- ✓History of occasional fast heartbeats originating from the upper heart chambers.
- ✓At least two symptomatic episodes of fast heartbeats in the 3 months prior to enrollment.
- ✓Expected to remain on the same heart medications for the duration of the study.
Key exclusion· 3
- ✕Permanent (chronic) or persistent (not self-terminating) atrial fibrillation.
- ✕Atrial fibrillation due to a reversible cause (e.g., electrolyte imbalance).
- ✕Current or immediate implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) recipients.

Reducing Episodes by Septal Pacing Efficacy Confirmation Trial (RESPECT)
In Brief
A clinical study evaluating Intervention Pacing Features for Atrial Fibrillation and 3 related conditions. Completed, enrolled 400 participants across 38 sites in 2 countries.
Detailed Summary
The purpose of this study is to find out if specialized programs in the AT500 and EnRhythm pacemakers will reduce the number of irregular heartbeat in the upper chamber of the heart and reduce symptoms (such as shortness of breath, dizziness, and others).
