  • Inadequately controlled on metformin monotherapy: either ≥1500 mg daily (or documented maximum tolerated dose) for ≥2 months, OR <1500 mg without documented max tolerated dose with HbA1c 7.5-10%
  • No other antidiabetic agents besides metformin within 2 months before screening
  • BMI 23-45 kg/m² (or 20-35 kg/m² if Asian)

  • Systolic BP ≥150 mmHg or diastolic BP ≥90 mmHg
