- ✓Meets DSM-5 criteria for current alcohol use disorder
- ✓Minimum heavy drinking: ≥5 drinks/day for men or ≥4 drinks/day for women, ≥4 days per week over past 28 days
- ✓Age 18–65 years
- ✓Able to provide informed consent and comply with study procedures

- ✕Any current psychiatric disorder (DSM-5) other than AUD that might require intervention during study
- ✕Currently receiving psychotropic medication
- ✕Moderate-to-severe alcohol withdrawal (CIWA-Ar >13)
- ✕History of alcohol withdrawal seizures or delirium
