Key inclusion· 5
- ✓Type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus with HbA1c ≤10% at screening
- ✓Age ≥18 years at screening
- ✓Visual impairment due to DME with BCVA between 78 and 23 letters (Snellen equivalent 20/32 to 20/320)
- ✓Central subfield retinal thickness ≥320 μm on SD-OCT with DME involving center of macula
Key exclusion· 8
- ✕Active proliferative diabetic retinopathy in study eye
- ✕Structural foveal damage including RPE atrophy, subretinal fibrosis, laser scars, or epiretinal membrane involving fovea likely to preclude visual improvement
- ✕Uncontrolled glaucoma defined as IOP >25 mmHg on medication or per investigator judgment
- ✕Active intraocular or periocular infection or intraocular inflammation
